Since its opening in 1996 The Monte Carlo has had one resident in its showroom. Master Magician Lance Burton, a classic magician, dressed in tuxedo and tails Mr Burton is one of the longest running magicians in Las Vegas with his own showroom. He begins each show with a dazzling array of his sleight of hand and bird manipulation.

The standard disappearing acts take on a whole new dimension as Burton disappears from the stage only to reappear in a flash over the heads of the audience. He can perform fascinating origami and turn a perfectly folded piece of white paper into a white dove which circles the audience and lands back on the magician's hand.

In a tribute to alchemy and aeronautics, Burton turns his beautiful assistant into a gold statue and then levitates the statue and himself five feet above the stage.

After establishing his phenomenal rapport with the audience, Burton takes everyone on a trip through the history of magic, culminating in a dinner party where ducks act like rabbits and continually multiply until the entire gaggle form a conga line and march offstage.

The immensely enjoyable show ends with a white corvette magically appearing onstage and then flying around the stage with a thoroughly impressed audience member inside.

The theater itself is designed to replicate a typical Victorian theater with ornate plaster work, gold leaf and red velvet.

Be sure to stop at the Lance Burton magic store which is magically located just outside the theater exit. You won't be able to learn how to make a car fly, you will be able to bring home some great magic trips from Las Vegas.
