This is a classic mistake, lets say for example you are staying on the 30th floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel and your show is at the Wynn hotel. Firstly your walk to the elevator can take a couple of minutes and the ride down at the wrong time of the night can take forever ( as the elevator stops at every floor to fill up ) now you have a walk thru the casino ( don't stop to play the slots ) and a nice 10 minute cab line - at last your in a cab and on your way, welcome to the agonizing Las Vegas Blvd traffic, 15 minutes later you pull in to the Wynn hotel drive way, step out and head in to a busy, confusing enormous hotel. After you locate a map and realize you forgot your compass you head towards the showroom, twisting and turning between craps tables and cocktail waitresses, finally you reach the show room and a 5 minute line to have your ticket ripped - forgive our over descriptive illustration but as you can see it's easy for thirty to forty five minutes to slip by from your hotel room to the showroom - plan for it, leave early and enjoy a cocktail at your venue if you arrive too early.
